Dear Parents and Guardians:
Please join me in congratulating Mr. Kyle Laspe former Dean of Students at Westfield HS on his promotion to Assistant Principal at Westfield HS. He attended High Point University where he earned undergraduate degrees in History and Special Education. Mr. Laspe started his career as a special education teacher at Wingate Andrews HS, a Title I school, in High Point, North Carolina where he taught self-contained Algebra I.
Mr. Laspe later moved to Northern Virginia and joined the staff at Langley HS where he taught teamed and self-contained special education classes. While in FCPS, he earned his Masters in Education Leadership at George Mason University. As a leader, Mr. Laspe has served as an Assistant Principal and Acting Principal for Summer Enrichment Programs in FCPS, Great Beginnings Coach, Director of the Tech Adventure Program and Special Education Admin Resource for the STEM program.
Mr. Laspe will be the Subschool 1 Principal and Instructional Leader of the Mathematics and Career and Technical Education Departments. He will start in his new role on Monday, August 19.
