Oak Hill will be hosting a Kindergarten Play Date with Popsicles tomorrow from 9:30-10:15am at the Oak Hill playground. The Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. DeVore, and Mr. Credle will be there to meet you and your child. This will be a great way to meet fellow Oak Hill parents and for your child to meet and play with their future classmates. We hope to see you there!
Class placements for this year will be emailed to parents after 4:30pm on Wednesday, August 21 for the 2019-2020 school year.
Oak Hill's combined Open House/Back-to-School Day will be held on Friday, August 23rd. Below is the schedule for the day. Please read the detailed agenda here.
8:30-9:30 First and Second Grades
9:30-10:00 Meet and Greet with Specialists
10:00-11:00 Third and Fourth Grades
11:30-12:30 Fifth and Sixth Grades
1:00-2:00 Kindergarten
The Health Room will be open on August 23rd from 8:30-2pm for parents to drop off student medication. Our Clinic Room Aid, Juliana Rampersad, will be here to assist and answer any questions you may have.

We need help at Oak Hill ES organizing school supplies, making deliveries to classrooms, and stuffing Wednesday folders on Wednesday, August 21st from 9am - 12:30pm and Thursday, August 22nd from 9:30 - 11am. If you are a rising 6th - 12th grader and are interested in helping, please sign up here. We will sign off on service hours for all our volunteers! Sign up is on a first come, first served basis. We are excited to announce that Oak Hill is going to the next level of providing our students and staff with a healthier lunch! Beginning on September 11, we will be implementing a new Salad Bar. You will find the Salad Bar lunch menu describing the vegetables, fruits, proteins and grains available on the Salad Bar, as well as the students’ hot entrée choice here. All students will select their fruits and vegetables for lunch from the Salad Bar, and then they may complete their lunch by choosing salad bar proteins and/or grains, or the hot entrée listed on the menu for that day.
Students will “practice” Salad Bar etiquette and new procedures for the lunch line before the Salad Bar opens. We are excited that our students will have so many fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from each day and look forward to joining many other FCPS schools that have had the opportunity to
implement the Salad Bar successfully!

The PTA will once again be sponsoring after school activities. The early bird registration for PTA members will be between September 9-15. Open registration will be between September 16-22. The classes will begin the week of September 23 and registration will stay open until September 30. More information will be coming out soon.
