Dear Halley Families,
We have bittersweet news to share with you.
Congratulations and best wishes for success are in order for our beloved Mr. Salerno. We are excited to announce that he has accepted an Assistant Principal position at Camelot Elementary School, effective August 2nd, and will continue his leadership journey doing what he does best by supporting students, teachers and families to be their best selves. We know Mr. Salerno will tackle this new venture with the same passion and dedication he’s displayed as part of our Halley family and will quickly establish himself as a valued member in his new role.
Working alongside Mr. Salerno has been an honor and privilege for every member of our Halley school community. He leaves a legacy of impeccable professionalism, humor and commitment. His positive attitude, advocacy for kids and work ethic is second to none. He has served Halley for almost ten years and has been an indispensable part of our team. This is a bittersweet moment for us because although he will be missed, he is now at a school that is 10 minutes away from home…and this is a big plus for his family. Blessings to Mr. Salerno!
Please be assured that FCPS Region 4 Leadership Team will work with us to find our next Assistant Principal. Halley students and families deserve a phenomenal educational leader and talent…and that is what we will get. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
