FCPSOn Update

Dear Parent or Guardian,

 

As the 2018-19 school year has ended, we are already busy preparing for your student’s return in August and the launch of FCPSOn, a digital transformation initiative that provides students with access to one device to use for learning. Please know that FCPSOn will not replace teachers. On the contrary, FCPSOn provides ongoing, dynamic professional learning for teachers that will result in more purposeful and collaborative learning experience for your student.

 

As we plan for next year, I’d like to share a few details:

• General information about FCPSOn, including Frequently Asked Questions can be found can be found on FCPS’ website.
• Our Technology Team is working on the distribution schedule for student devices. Students will be notified of their pick-up times through their fcpsschools.net accounts. For those who will be on vacation during the pick-up times, other times will be made available prior to school starting.
• We would like all students to have devices in hand by the first day of school, if possible. Students and families will receive more information about device pick-up times.
• Save The Dates for FCPSOn Pick-Up:
• FCPSOn 9^th grade: August 13,  August 22
• FCPSOn 10^th grade: August 12, August 20
• FCPSOn 11^th grade: August 14, August 21
• FCPSOn 12^th grade: August 16, August 23
