 FAIRFAX HIGH SCHOOL CREW STATE CHAMPIONS!
Dear Family Fairfax,
AND, that’s a WRAP (and a brief hiatus for me from our weekly NYC messages)! I got to end the year with a presentation of the State Championship trophy from our crew team in the atrium this morning-- It was fun to end on such a high note.
Yesterday, we had our staff’s annual party. It was fun seeing our teachers, all together, in our cafeteria. We were in the exact location that we were in when we kicked the school year off in August-so, we came full circle. We also recognized two of our Parent Volunteer Award winners—Megan Soyster Heinz and Jaimee Nygaard. I shared that we, quite literally, would not be here without our parents, and we are thankful for the time, talent, and treasure that so many who are able, so readily give.
What a tremendous year it has been!
Throughout the summer, we will be sporadically sending communication to our families, so you will want to be on the lookout. Topics will include things like parking passes (and picking spaces!); PE uniforms; FCPSOn device distribution; Back to School Night; and much, much more.

Monday, August 26 is the first day of school!
REPORT CARDS: Report cards will be mailed home next week. A reminder that your students’ final course grades are the only grades that go on your student’s official transcript and are seen by colleges, workplaces, etc.
SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS: Many of our Advanced Placement (AP) and some of our Honors classes for the 2019-20 school year have summer assignments. Most assignments are due within the first few weeks of school. Math classes have summer assignments that are highly recommended but not required.
