Parents,

Mark your calendars for next year’s Open House and Back to School Night. We will not be combining these two events due to multiple trainings teachers will be participating in during their first week back to school .

Open House: August 23^rd at 11am-1pm (Meet teacher and visit classrooms)    

Back to School Night: September 4^th at 6pm-8pm (Teachers present grade level curriculum and expectations)

Thank you to many parents and volunteers that made Career Day a huge success. Students had the opportunity to explore and learn about different professions.

SHES Staffing 2019-2020

As you know,  it is always bitter sweet to salute staff members that are retiring and relocating, but we only wish them well in their new journeys and thank them for their commitment in educating our children.

The following staff members will be retiring from FCPS this school year:

The following staff members will be relocating, transferring, or pursuing higher education :

The following staff members will be transitioning to new roles or grade levels at Sleepy Hollow for the 2019-2020 school year:

2. Nicole Samulka, moving from 2^nd grade to 3^rd grade
3. Paige Walrath, moving from Kindergarten to 1^st grade
4. Jessica Nelson, moving from 5th grade to Math Resource Teacher

Business volunteers participated in Junior Achievement Day to give students real world experiences around the 21st century workforce.

June 11 - Staff vs 5th Grade in Basketball
June 12 - 5th Grade Party 6-8 PM, Colonial Days for 4th Grade 12-3 PM
June 13 - Last Day of School, 3 Hour Early Dismissal
