Order School Supplies Today!

Order next year’s classroom supplies now and relax this summer! The Clermont PTA has once again partnered with Campus Survival to offer easy, online supply shopping for the 2019-20 school year. Simply go to www.campussurvivalkits.com/clermont and select the grade(s) of your student (s) for next school year. The supplies will be delivered directly to Clermont and available for pick up at the open house in August. All orders must be placed no later than July 15.

Health Room Reminder

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than 12:50 pm on June 13, 2019. Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian.  Medication cannot be sent home with your student. However, with parent or guardian permission, a high school student may transport over-the-counter medications to and from the school health room.

"Reminder: All Library Books are Due." written on an orange background.

A Message from the Clermont Library

All books currently checked out by students are now overdue! All students are responsible for the books they check out of the Clermont Library. Please help clear your child’s library account by helping to find their lost books.

If you cannot find a book, please remit payment via Cash, Check (paid to Clermont Elementary), or MySchoolBucks.

Every student who has a clear library account will be entered in a drawing to win a prize! The winners will be announced June 12th. The first five classes to turn in all their books or resolve library obligations will also be getting a class prize. All classes who turn in all of their library books get a shout out on the Clermont news show.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cangro at kncangro@fcps.edu

Strings Registration

Parents of current 3rd, 4th, 5th  grade students:

String classes are forming now for next year.

Next Thursday, June 6th, students will hear about the violin, viola, cello and bass. I hope that one of these instruments will catch your child’s eye and ear! Although we always need violinists, I encourage your child to choose cello, viola or bass as orchestras are always in need of these instruments. (If I have enough instruments, school cellos/basses may be used while at school and personal instruments left at home.)

Please click on the link below before Monday June 10th to register your students for strings next year. You do not need to fill out a paper copy if you register via the Google form. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can be reached at alicia.mcmahan@fcps.edu. The link to register students is https://goo.gl/r6Tghj.

Happy Better Hearing and Speech Month (BHSM)!

Logo with multicolored human shapes w/speech bubbles. "Communication Across the Lifespan. Better Hearing and Speech Month. "

Each May, (BHSM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of ASHA members in providing life-altering treatment. For 2019, ASHA’s theme is "Communication Across the Lifespan."

To wrap up what has been a great BHSM, please see a letter from our school’s speech-language pathologist about a few factors that may impact a student’s communication in today’s day and age.

Read the full letter from Ms. Santa Cruz, Clermont's Speech Language Pathologist, here  / en español.
