Belvedere News and Announcements

Wednesday Folder Information

Please find electronic copies of your child's Wednesday folder items on the PTA website. Thanks for going green and accessing these items online each week! If you would like to change your preferences for paper or electronic copies, please contact the office.

Dear Belvedere Families,

The end of the school year is quickly approaching; however, at Belvedere learning continues throughout the school day.  Students in grades three to five have been busy completing Standards of Learning Assessments.  Fifth graders are also busy working on the Exhibition Projects.  The future leaders of the world are definitely here at Belvedere. The students ideas and passion are admirable!

Thank you so much for the PTA and all parent volunteers who made Staff Appreciation Week such a wonderful week for Belvedere staff.  Among the many treats, staff enjoyed gifts, breakfast treats, delicious lunch, and smoothies delivered to their classrooms. Thank you for recognizing our staff’s hard work and for making each day special.

Please help us keep learning going strong until the end of the year by making sure your child comes to school each day and is ready to learn.  We are committed to making sure we take advantage of the time left this school year to ensure high levels of student engagement and learning!

Sincerely,

Cecilia Vanderye, Principal

All student library books are due Friday, May 31. Please return all items by this date!

Volunteers needed!

We are in need of parent volunteers in the next two weeks. Please consider one of the opportunities below, and coordinate with Mr. Hemmens in the office if you can help out!

Supporting Students During Ramadan

With parent permission, we are offering alternate quiet spaces for students to go during lunch times if they are fasting. For the most part, teachers have volunteered their time to cover this, but additional parent volunteers would be awesome! Volunteers are requested between 11:15 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. from May 6-June 7. You do not need to commit to a whole session; we appreciate any help we can get. Please contact Mr. Hemmens in the Belvedere office if you are available to help!

Student Escort During SOL Testing

We also need parent volunteers to escort students to and from the bathrooms during SOL testing. Please use the Sign Up Genius link below to see when you can help out!
