"Don't let what you cannot do, interfere with what you can do." - John Wooden
Dear Justice Families,
Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your spring break and are ready to jump right into the last eight weeks of the 2018-19 school year. This is a busy time for our students. During this week's Wolf Time lesson, seniors will have a meeting to discuss our end of year events including Prom and graduation activities. Our underclassmen will hear about ways to stay busy this summer, including summer school as well as opportunities to begin exploring colleges and careers. Students will be reminded of the opportunities posted in Naviance (accessed through Blackboard) under Colleges > Enrichment and how they can track their community service hours in x2VOL which is also found in Naviance.
Please be sure that your student is on track to finish strong. If you have any questions, please contact his/her teacher and/or counselor. We are always happy to help.
Enjoy the rest of your break. We look forward to seeing our students on Monday.

This coming week, we will recognize students with perfect attendance in the third quarter. Congratulations to them. Everyday counts.

The 3rd quarter honor roll ceremony for “All A” student recipients will be in the auditorium on Monday, April 29th during Wolf Time from 10:42-11:12 a.m. Parents are invited to attend, however the ceremony will be brief. Students will view a live fine arts presentation and hear some words of wisdom from a staff guest speaker. Once the ceremony ends, students can grab a donut!
It's that time of year when Justice High School needs your help. We will need LOTS of volunteers for the May IB exams. Most of the exams are held in the auxiliary gym. It's an easy way to help the Justice community - help collect the exams, escort students to the bathroom, hand out tissues, answer general questions, etc. If you have questions, please contact Elisabeth Freed at eleafreed@gmail.com. Please click here to sign up. Thanks, in advance, for your support.
This is just a reminder, that during the SOL testing window, all students need to bring their FCPS issued laptop and charger to school. If a student has opted out of an FCPS issued device, he/she will be given one to use for testing.
If you lost your charger, please be sure to communicate this information with your administrator. This will better prepare us in ensuring that all students are able to take their designated test on the designated date.
We have a few spots left for our Urban Alliance High School Internship Prep Program, which is open to current sophomores to apply for next school year. Students will participate in paid professional development trainings after school during their junior year. They will also receive yearlong one-on-one mentorship, post high school planning assistance, and will transition to a paid professional internship for senior year. The application can be found here http://bit.ly/HippApplication19. Students may contact their school counselor for more information.
Please remember to add money to your child’s school nutrition account. All accounts must be brought current before the end of the school year in June.
