WAKEFIELD FOREST ES Weekly Message

Purple Up

Along with many other WFES students, these first graders wore purple on April 10 to show support for children in military families.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope everyone enjoyed Spring Break. I know that I had a great time relaxing with my family.

In these last eight weeks of school there will be many exciting opportunities to celebrate our students and staff. This week we will be recognizing our amazing operational support staff (custodians, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, office staff, and health room), and next week we will be appreciating our instructional staff (teachers, assistants and specialists). Each person in our building contributes to the wonderful atmosphere and amazing learning our students experience each day. I hope you will join me in thanking all of these hard-working individuals for all they do each day.

Positivity Project:  Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence
Appreciation of beauty and excellence is the ability to identify and enjoy that which is admirable in the world.  Appreciation of beauty can generate awe; appreciation of a skill can generate admiration; and appreciation of moral goodness can generate moral elevation.  Appreciating excellence and beauty helps an individual experience positive emotions and connect to the world around him/her.

School Cafeteria Account
Please remember to add money to your child’s school nutrition account.  All accounts must be brought current before the end of the school year in June.

Class Placement Input Letters
Class placement input letters were sent home Thursday, April 11, 2019 in the Thursday folders. We value and welcome your insights regarding your child’s learning needs. We will use this information in collaboration with staff input as we create class placements. Many factors are considered in determining class placement. We have an amazing staff and ask respectfully that you do not indicate teacher names on this form. In order to be considered, this form must be returned to the office no later than Friday, May 17, 2019.
