Dear Parents,

One of our students reported that they were approached by an unknown adult male while waiting at their bus stop yesterday.  The man spoke Spanish and tried to engage the student in a conversation.  The student walked away unharmed.  This incident occurred in the Seven Corners area.  The same individual was also reportedly seen approaching other young people in the neighborhood.  Police were contacted and they are currently investigating this incident.  The suspicious person is described as an Hispanic male, about 5’8” wearing a white hat, white shirt, gray pants, and a turquoise and brown jacket with a gold watch on his right wrist.

Student safety is our top priority and we want to work with you to ensure their safety as they travel to and from school.  Please talk with your son or daughter and urge them to always be aware of their surroundings and to avoid any seemingly dangerous situations.  Students should travel in pairs whenever possible and immediately report any suspicious behavior to a known adult or the police.  If you have more information about this incident or see anything suspicious, please contact the Fairfax County Police Department’s non-emergency number at (703) 691-2131.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Eric T. Johnson

Principal
