"Collect for Kids"

Did you know that FCPS is projected to have over 55,000 students who qualify for free or reduced meals next year? "Collect for Kids" is a network of non-profits, faith-based groups, businesses and civic organizations that work together to provide school supplies and backpacks for these students each year.

Now is the time to start planning a backpack drive in your neighborhood or at your company. We can connect you with one of our strategic partners or direct you to a school that could use them. Or simply donate to the 2019 "Collect for Kids" drive, and we'll use those funds to purchase school supply kits to fill gap needs around the county. .

Help us help all students to be successful in school! Find out about our strategic team and how you can get involved on the Collect for Kids website.

Donor Corner

I-66 Express Mobility Partners is our May Donor of the Month for their support of two schools in FCPS. Stenwood and Marshall Road Elementary Schools each received $15,000 in May to increase STEAM activities for all students in the schools. The gift was made through the Foundation for FCPS. Leadership at both schools will use these funds to provide more STEAM experiences to additional students in the school. As Javier Gutierrez, CEO of I-66 Express Mobility Partners stated, "Providing the tools and resources to support science and technology education at the elementary school level is foundational to develop the workforce of the future.”

Thanks to this generous company!

FCPS Honors

The Foundation for FCPS is a proud supporter of Employee Recognition programs for some of the 27,500 employees in the district. Through monthly recognition ceremonies around the county, #FCPSCares recognizes employees at every level, culminating in the FCPS Honors on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:00 pm at Mason's Center for the Arts.

Thank you to our sponsors for this year's event!
