After-School Program News

We launched our revamped after-school Build A Computer group this past week!  The group meets on Monday afternoons during both blocks of the ASP.  Students that participate refurbish donated computers, which are then given away to students and families that are in need.  If your son or daughter is interested in joining, please have him/her see Ms. Peters or Mr. Rosas.

Programa para Después de la Escuela

¡La semana pasada reiniciamos nuestro grupo de Build A Computer para después de la escuela! El grupo se reúne los lunes por la tarde en ambos bloques del ASP. Los estudiantes que participan restauran computadoras donadas, que luego se entregan a estudiantes y familias que las necesitan. Si su hijo o hija está interesado/a en participar, por favor pídale que hable con la Srta. Peters o el Sr. Rosas.

Spring Dance

The After-School Program and National Junior Honor Society will be hosting a Spring Dance on Thursday, April 11th!  The dance will take place during the 2nd block of the After-School Program and late buses will be provided as usual at 4:45pm.  Tickets will be sold before school and in lunches on Monday 4/8, Tuesday 4/9, and Wednesday 4/10.  Tickets cost $5, which includes pizza and soda.  Other ASP activities that are normally held from 3:15-4:45pm will be cancelled that day, except for GMU EIP.  Students who are not attending the dance must go home at 2:15pm or be picked up in the office at 3:15pm.

Baile de Primavera

¡El After-School Program y la National Junior Honor Society patrocinarán un Baile de Primavera el jueves 11 de abril!  El baile se llevará a cabo durante el segundo bloque del After-School Program y habrá autobuses escolares a las 4:45pm como siempre.  Se venderán boletos antes de la escuela y durante los almuerzos el lunes 4/8, martes 4/9 y miércoles 4/10.  Los boletos cuestan $5 e incluyen pizza y refresco.  Las otras actividades del ASP que normalmente son ofrecidas entre las 3:15-4:45pm serán canceladas ese día, con la excepción del programa GMU EIP.  Los estudiantes que no van a asistir al baile se tienen que ir a casa a la salida de las 2:15pm o ser recogidos de la oficina a las 3:15pm.

PTSA News

We had a large turnout for our PTSA meeting on Title I this past Monday!  We were excited to share about the impact Title I will have on our school and are thrilled to continue partnering with all families to support our students!

¡Tuvimos una gran participación en nuestra reunión de la PTSA acerca de Title I el lunes pasado! ¡Nos entusiasmó compartir el impacto que Title I tendrá en nuestra escuela y esperamos continuar colaborando con todas las familias para seguir apoyando a nuestros estudiantes!

Bingo and Spaghetti Night 

Our PTSA will be hosting a Bingo and Spaghetti Night on Friday, April 12th at 6pm!  Come out for a fun night of bingo and a delicious dinner!  All are invited!
