Read Across America Week at Olde Creek

Olde Creek is celebrating Read Across America week in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday next week! Check out the exciting activities below scheduled for each day of the week.

Monday, February 25th - Dr. Seuss Day!

  • Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss Character!
  • Author, Russell Ginns, will visit OC and meet with grades 2-6!
  • George Mason students will read with grades K and 1!

Tuesday, February 26th - Oh, The Places You’ll Go Day!

  • Wear the clothes you’ll wear in your future career!
  • Uncle Slam, the mascot for the Potomac Nationals, will greet students in the morning and hand out bookmarks for the Potomac Nationals Reading Program.

Wednesday, February 27th - Wacky Wednesday!

  • Wear a wacky hairstyle and/or a wacky hat to school!

Thursday, February 28th - Fox in Socks Day!

  • Wear your favorite socks to school!

Friday, March 1st - Read Across America Day!

  • Wear your craziest pajamas to school!
  • Every class will Drop Everything And Read (DEAR Time) today for one hour so be sure to bring a good book to school today!

 

Olde Creek Bears Care Community Outreach Program

Please click on the link below to sign up for this week's food donations for our Olde Creek Bears Care Food Program.  Your donations provide weekend food provisions to students in need in our school community. Please drop off your food donations at Olde Creek's front office during regular office hours by Thursday, 2/28 at 3:30 pm.

Box Tops at Olde Creek

It is time to send your Box Tops in to the school. All Box Tops that are submitted by Feb. 27 can be counted towards the 2019 school year! Box Tops can be dropped off in the main office or with your child’s teacher. This is a fun and easy way to support the school and we are grateful for all of your support!
