Dear CES,
We had another short week due to weather and holidays. I am optimistic that the weather will cooperate in the future and allow us to regain a regular schedule. Despite these short weeks the students continue to learn and grow each and everyday. In the picture to the right, our first grade students are playing cooperative math games. Our 4th grade students (below) collaborated to solve an Breakout EDU case (like an educational escape room). It is amazing to see the students working together to solve common goals.
As an effort to continue to build our school - community relationship, I will be including a new section in the newsletter. The Get to Know the Staff of CES section will include short video clips by staff members sharing fun facts. This week we will be featuring the amazing office staff of CES! Please click HERE to see the fun videos.

PTA Bylaws
Every 5 years we have to reevaluate our bylaws. We presented the proposed charges at the February 7th meeting and will vote on them at our March meeting. We MUST have a quorum in order to vote on the bylaws. If you are a paid member we need you to attend the meeting. We promise to keep it short! As always we will have refreshments and child care available.
You may view the bylaws by visiting: https://centrevillees.ptboard.com/nvg/activity?oid=Fb96INvRR0iLDaJ8HkTAcW9___6XNMIyDQ==

CES Soaring Eagles
Please share your LOVE with the staff! CES Soaring Eagles are compliments, kudos, etc. that we will share with the staff. What a great way to show your appreciation and to help make the CES Staff's week positive! Please click HERE to share your CES Soaring Eagles!
This past week our students focused on:
Literature that Supports Black History Month
Last week our school focused on finding P2 characteristics in Literature that Supports Black History Month. During read alouds teachers guided students with identifying the P2 character traits exhibited by the characters in the texts. We hope this demonstrated to our students that P2 is part of everything we do and stand for at CES!
Thank you for your continued partnership!
