Joe McDonald, who serves as the crossing guard at Coates Elementary School, has been named one of six winners of Virginia’s 2018 Most Outstanding Crossing Guard award.

Twenty-three FCPD crossing guards were nominated for Outstanding Crossing Guard.  To read more about Joe and to see a list of the nominees follow this link.

FCPS to Apply for another Safe Routes to School Grant

Fairfax County Public Schools is applying for a Safe Routes to School grant for the 2019-2020 school year and is seeking the community's input.  Please consider completing a three question survey on how your student gets to school.  No personal information will be collected.  The survey can be found here.
