Recent Student Successes

This is the next installment for the school year of what has become a weekly segment aimed at recognizing students for demonstrating recent improvement or achievement in academics, behavior or citizenship. At the end of each recognition, you will see the name of the nominating teacher or staff member. On a rotating basis, departments will nominate students.  I meet with recognized students each week to congratulate them in person.

  • Chugluk (Julie) Ablimit adds energy, fun and outside knowledge of world and domestic public affairs. Thanks Julie! Mr. Matthew Stoner

  • Andrew Beck-Dennison is a deep thinker who always participates positively in class. Thanks Andrew!  Mr. Robert Sebring
  • Yohanna Cruz has earned an A on almost every unit test we've taken---sometimes being part of the exclusive "Triple Digit Club" (earned 100%). She is attentive, engaged, and works hard every single day in class. Well done, Yo Yo!  Mr. Mike Flak
  • Maeve Hutcheson has shown tremendous improvement in World History during second quarter. Keep up the great work, Maeve! Ms. Antonette Bowman
  • Lareen Kalle did a terrific job of studying in a dedicated way for a recent test in World History. She set the example and inspired others to study hard as well! Great work, Lareen! Ms. Antonette Bowman
  • Keith Khan is consistently prepared for deep AP levels of discussion every day. In some instances he reads ahead of the class. I also appreciate his humor he has really added to the AP World Civilizations experience! Mr. John Downes
  • Nolan Riley is a joy to have in class, and he has been working hard in World History 2 HN this school year. His efforts do not go unnoticed, and I appreciate how well he connects with his peers. His lighthearted jokes and laughs are contagious and appreciated by his classmates. 6th period would not be the same without him! Keep up the good work, Nolan! Ms. Lisa Oughton
