Dear Belvedere Parents,
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is studying how school environments relate to discipline practices in the Division. As part of the study, you will receive a survey from FCPS’ Office of Research and Strategic Improvement (ORSI). The surveys are designed to help FCPS understand your and your child’s thoughts about the school environment and how discipline is approached in their school.
Surveys to parents will be translated into multiple languages and will come via eNotify.
Participation is voluntary for you and your child, and all responses will be anonymous.
I encourage you to participate in this important survey to help FCPS understand what is working well and where we can improve.

5th Grade Families: Glasgow MS Open House is tonight!
The Glasgow MS open house was cancelled due to snow and has been rescheduled for tonight, Wednesday, February 6, at 6 p.m. Details for this event can be found on our website.
PTA Meeting and Movie Night this Friday
The February PTA meeting will take place this Friday at 5:15 p.m. in the cafeteria. Late Day Learners and board nominations are on the agenda. PTA will provide a pizza dinner for this event!
After the meeting, the 5th grade parents are hosting a movie night to support the 5th Grade End of Year Celebration. There will be a snack bar and 50/50 raffle in addition to the movie, Small Foot.

Outdoor Club Outing Rescheduled
The February Outdoor Club outing has been rescheduled for this Saturday, February 9. Please contact Ms. Evers if you plan to attend!
Support Belvedere by visiting the Book Fair!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Belvedere February 11-15. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. On Wednesday, February 13, the Book Fair will be open until 7 p.m. Please stop by before the Spelling Bee! Students will also visit the Book Fair during their normal library time. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks (made payable to Belvedere PTA). You can also order online February 7-22 at: http://www.scholastic.com/bf/belvedereelemsch.
