Principal's Message

Dear Wolftrap Families,

OUTSTANDING TEACHER AND OUTSTANDING LEADER: I am very pleased to announce that the Wolftrap Elementary nominee for 2018-2019 Outstanding Teacher is Susan Robb. Ms. Robb has been a special education teacher at Wolftrap since 2014 and serves as our special education lead and chairperson of our Local Screening Committee. She has a keen understanding of the individual needs of students, encourages their talents and fosters their self-esteem. We are grateful every day to have such a highly qualified educator working with our students and supporting the growth and development of each adult in our building.

Our nominee for 2018-2019 Outstanding School Leader is Mat Campet! Mr. Campet joined our staff in 2012 and has been a pivotal leader in developing and supporting the Wolftrap vision and mission. Through his work in designing the Candace Leyton Innovation Lab, a first of its kind in FCPS, to the implementation of a regionally recognized STEAM lab, Mr. Campet is one of a kind. He consistently demonstrates commitment and leadership in his role as School Based Technology Specialist, both in our school and throughout the county. His talents, passion, and enthusiasm for instilling a life-long love of learning through risk-taking and hands on exploration is inspiring to us all.

Please join me in congratulating Ms. Robb and Mr. Campet on this huge recognition.

HELPFUL SITE FOR PARENTS: The mission of the FCPS Family and School Partnerships is to connect, strengthen, and support Fairfax County's families, schools, and community by providing programs, resources, and services that promote student success in school and in life. On this website, parents have access to newsletters, resources, information on classes, etc.

Sincerely,Teresa Khuluki

Message from the PTA

National PTA

As your PTA, we want to be sure we meet the needs of our students, address the Wolftrap Elementary School community’s priorities, and that each of our members have a voice in decision making.  We discuss these topics and make decisions at PTA meetings but we understand for many of you it may be difficult to attend these meetings.   That said- WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! We put together a brief survey to ensure you have an opportunity to weigh in on topics like prioritization of spending, methods of communication, timing of our PTA meetings, and other related PTA issues.  Please take 5 minutes to complete the following survey:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VYND29G

Answers are anonymous unless you choose to provide your name.  Thank you in advance for your feedback! Deadline for survey responses is Friday February 15th.

Thank You!

The entire Wolftrap staff wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parent community, for your very generous gifts! Teachers and staff new to Wolftrap were speechless when met by the cheerful “Elf Moms” who scampered through the hallways before winter break, handing out very special envelopes. Thank you for all you do to make us grateful to work in such a wonderful, supportive community. As the fourth grade team put it,  “We are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for your generous gifts this holiday season. Thank you for your continued support!”
