Snow Day

We hope everyone enjoyed the snow day!  Now, it's back to work!  This is the last week of the second quarter!

Second Semester Schedule Changes

All students grades 6-8 will receive second semester schedules in their first period class on Monday, January 28th. Students who have a new second semester class first period, can find their new class room number in a list on the wall in various places throughout the building (main hallway and grade level pods). Please contact your student’s school counselor if you have any questions.

Ravens Nest

Raven's Nest

We are pleased to announce the re-opening of The Raven’s Nest at Poe MS!  The Nest is stocked with clothes, jackets, school supplies, backpacks, and several other items for students and their families.  It is located in the back of the school and occupies two of the modular classrooms.  Parents and students can access the Nest through the gate in back of the school near the blacktop.

We will have “open” hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15pm-3:15pm beginning on January 15, 2019.  Students can get Nest Passes during after-school activities by seeing Mr. Rosas.  The Raven’s Nest will also be open from 5:30-6:00pm on dates when the PTSA has meetings.  For additional times or to make an appointment to visit The Raven’s Nest, please contact Patricia Ramirez, Poe’s Parent Liaison, at 703-813-3801.

A special thanks goes out to Ms. Wiseman and her students for contributing their artwork!  Any students who wish to display their art at the Nest are always welcome to drop it off in the school office.

Donations for The Raven’s Nest are gladly accepted and can be dropped off with Ms. Ramirez at any time or delivered during open hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
