Challenge Success Student Survey

On Friday, October 26 we will administer the Challenge Success Student Survey.  This initiative is aligned with our school goals related to wellness and balance.

The Challenge Success-Stanford Surveys of School Experiences are designed to help schools make data-driven decisions that improve student well-being and engagement with learning.

The survey will be taken online during homeroom on October 26. It measures student perceptions on topics such as academic engagement, connection to the school community, well-being and technology use. Sample questions may be found here.

All student responses are anonymous. If you would like to opt out your child from participating in the survey, please click on the link.

Our Challenge Success lead team comprised of parents, students and staff returned from training in September energized from various seminars that focused on students' schedules and use of time, project and problem-based learning, alternative and authentic assessments, and how to create a climate of care.

Many staff members are now reading the book Overloaded and Underprepared: Strategies for Stronger Schools and Healthy, Successful Kids. Also, the PTSA is sponsoring a Principal's Book Club exploring the same text. There are two more sessions with Dr. Bonitatibus on October 19 and October 26 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the library. All are welcome.

We look forward to learning from the survey data that will guide our next steps on our way to wellness and balance for our students, staff, and families.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Challenge Success Lead Teacher Mr. Mark Forgash at mforgash@fcps.edu.
