FCPS Photographer Visits Chesterbrook
We were excited to have one of our wonderful FCPS Photographers, Karen Bolt, out to Chesterbrook last week to capture the joy of learning at Chesterbrook. The pictures just came in and they are amazing. We look forward to sharing many with you through our school communications and throughout the school. Interim Reports
Interims for 1st - 6th grades will be sent home for all students today. Kindergarten teachers will share student progress at individual conferences on November 5th and 6th. If you have any concerns regarding your child's progress please contact your child's teacher. If a conference is needed, teachers are more than happy to coordinate.
Interventions
What is academic intervention? Across FCPS we use a universal screener to assess student academic progress on grade level standards. These screeners will pinpoint areas where students may need further academic instruction to fill gaps in their foundation. Based on the level of support needed, a teacher, specialist or special education teacher will work with students in small groups using an instructional program that targets the identified areas in math or reading. Information is being sent home if your child is receiving an intervention.
