Mental Health Wellness Screening
Monday, October
22nd | 7th grade
This free, voluntary screening is offered to
help assess whether or not students may have symptoms consistent with
depression. Students who participate in the screening will watch a short
educational video on depression awareness and suicide prevention; different
versions will be shown to high school versus middle school students. Following
the video, students will complete a brief questionnaire. Further follow up with
a school mental health clinician will be available if needed, and parents will
be notified in the event that follow up is warranted.
All
7th grade students will be screened unless parents
complete an Opt-Out form, available at: http://www.fcps.edu/RobinsonSS/
If you choose to opt your child out of the Depression Screening, please
complete the form and submit it to your child’s counselor no later than
Thursday, October 11th.
Parent Portal Access
In addition,
Robinson offers free access to the SOS Signs of Suicide Parent Portal as part
of our school-wide depression screening and suicide prevention efforts. This
website offers many resources and a free screening for parents to screen
their own children at any time. Login

youth suicide and depression and to learn more about the key message all
students learn here at Robinson: ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell). To access this
