Dear CES,
We had a wonderful turnout at the Centreville High School Homecoming Parade. The weather was perfect and the students did an amazing job representing CES. It was great to see so many CES families along the route.
Over the next few weeks we have several night and weekend family events.
- Thursday, October 11th - PTA Meeting
- Saturday, October 13th - Family Book Fair and School Clean-up event
- Tuesday, October 16th - Dinner and Family STEAM Night
- Friday, October 19th - PTA Family Movie Night
All of these events are wonderful opportunities for you and your family to engage, collaborate, build positive relationships, and have fun with the CES Staff and community. We hope to see you over the next few weeks!

Calendar Reminder: Schools Closed for Students
on Columbus Day, Monday, October 8
All schools will be closed for
students on Monday, October 8, for the Columbus Day Holiday. SACC will be
open. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 9. See the complete
2018-19 school year calendar.
This week our students focused on the trait of TEAMWORK. Teamwork is the ability and willingness to place overall group success as a higher priority than individual achievement. Citizenship is a willingness to work towards the common good as opposed to one’s own self-interest. Those with strengths in teamwork and citizenship often work to help all group members find success. These individuals are willing to commit time and resources to further group goals and help move toward the greater good.
Next week our students will focus on the character trait of OPEN-MINDEDNESS. Please continue to have conversations at home on the weekly character traits covered at school.
