ParentVue Accounts

If you are an FCPS parent, it is highly recommended that you set up a ParentVue account. This provides access to Blackboard and our Student Information System (SIS). One account allows you to view all of your students regardless of which FCPS school they attend. As the use of technology increases with more information is being distributed electronically, having a ParentVue Account is one very good way for you to stay informed and to access material to support your child in education. If you do not have the activation letter sent from FCPS or if it has expired, please contact Kings Glen at 703-239-4000 for assistance.

Bus Delay Notification System

Stay up-to-date on school bus arrivals with FCPS' bus delay notification system, which provides parents with timely notification of late bus route information. Morning bus route information will be available until noon. The afternoon bus route information will be available from 1 to 5:30 p.m.

Health Room Volunteer Training

We are seeking Health Room Volunteers for the 2018-2019 school year. Volunteers may help provide care for sick and injured students and assist with administrative duties in our School Health Rooms. Please contact your school Public Health Nurse for more information about the training:

Fun Run - This Friday!

Over the past week, our students have had a blast participating in our largest fundraiser of the year, the Kings Park/Kings Glen Fun Run.We could still use your help! Here are a few things you can do to help support our schools:

  1. Help your child log on the funrun.com.
  2. Encourage your child to make a student star video.
  3. Ask your child about the STEAM-themed program and the important character traits they are learning about each day.
  4. Reach out to family and friends for sponsorships. They can either make a flat donation or a per lap donation. Students will run no more than 35 laps.
  5. Come and cheer on your child at the Fun Run on Friday, October. 5. View schedule of run times.
  6. Volunteer the day of the fun run. There are a few spots left.
