 LAPS FOR LEARNING 2018 IS TOMORROW!!
Tomorrow is the big day and we have over 200 students
registered. Here are some important
things to note:
FIRST, CHECK IN!
Please arrive by 7:30 AM. Check
in by grade level at the registration table. Students will receive a number to
pin to their shirts and will line up by grade (6th in front, Kindergarten in
back) in the bus lanes.
THEN, WARM-UP AND ANNOUNCEMENTS As you arrive, there will be a demonstration
and warm up by Jason Savage of World Karate. At 7:50 AM, Dr. Wright will make a
few announcements and we will sing the National Anthem
FINALLY, START TIME! We
will start at 8:00 AM, but if you are late, you can just jump right! Walkers
should use the sidewalks and runners should use the portion of the road inside
the cones. After each lap, the bibs will
be marked.
FINISH!! Once
students are finished, they can pick up a participation prize and enjoy some
food/drink in the cafeteria!
OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
- Please do not bring money or donations to the
event. We will supply you with collection
envelopes next week.
- You are encouraged to wear your favorite Olde
Creek spirit gear or a red t-shirt and athletic shoes!
- Remember, there is no parking at the school that
morning.
