1) Arrival Procedures

Arrival every morning begins at 9 AM.  Please do not drop off your children early!  This week we began a new arrival procedure with students in grades 3-4-5-6.  They will be directed to go directly to their classrooms instead of gathering first in the gym.  Our doors open at 9 AM every day and those students who plan to eat breakfast should be here in time to do so.

Our students in grades K-1-2 and Multi-age will still gather in the cafeteria and then walk to their classrooms as a group.

2) Anytime there is a Heat Advisory issues by the National Weather Service Laurel Hill ES will follow the guidelines issued by the central office superintendent’s direction.  This may mean that outside recess does not take place in very hot weather!

3) Our focus continues this week with a fire drill and our first lock down drill of the school year.  During these safety drills, students and staff practice the procedures to ensure they always know what to do in the event of an emergency in school.
