2018-2019 Orientation Info

For all families who will attending Luther Jackson next year, we wanted to make you aware of a few important orientation dates below.

All rising 7^th graders and any 8^th graders who are new to Luther Jackson are invited to attend a new student orientation.  It will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.   The Orientation Bus Schedule will be sent home in August.

The Luther Jackson Middle School Tiger Time orientation event will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 (for students whose last name begins with A-L) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. or Wednesday, August 22, 2018 (for students whose last name begins with M-Z) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  This is not a required event, but we welcome you to attend.  If you cannot attend your assigned evening, you may attend either day. If you come, both parent and student must attend. You can come anytime between 3:00 – 6:00, and should plan to stay about 60 – 90 minutes. You may want to bring multiple checks for payments. Cash is also accepted.  Here are examples of what you can do at Tiger Time:

• PICK UP YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE if all required forms are completed.
• Fill out mandatory forms, and get a head start on the school year.
• Walk the building to orient yourself for class locations.
• Buy your PE uniform.
• Put money on your student’s lunch account.
• Sign up for our PTA and meet new PTA Board members.
• Sign up for your SIS ParentView account

Mark your calendars for the Luther Jackson Back to School Night, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday, September 5 at 7:00.  More info will be sent in August.
