Medication Pickup
The school health room is reminding parents and
guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked
up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school,
June 15th.
Medication left in the health room after that
time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be
picked up by the parent or guardian and medication cannot be sent home with
your student.
Medication authorization forms for next school
year may be obtained from the school or online at https://www.fcps.edu/resources/student-safety-and-wellness/school-health-services.
If you have any questions, please contact your
school health room aide, Cindy Luong, at 703-633-7410, or your school
public health nurse, Lynn Kiewel, at 571-235-1993.

Important Immunization Requirement: Do You Have a Student Entering
Sixth Grade Next Year?
If yes, he or she may need a booster dose of Tdap (tetanus,
diphtheria, acellular pertussis). Sixth grade students cannot begin school
in August without documentation of the Tdap booster. Parents or
guardians should ask their private healthcare provider, or the health
department, to review their child’s immunization record if they are unsure if
their child has received the Tdap booster. Students who have received a
Tdap booster between the ages of seven and eleven do not need another dose.
Documentation must be provided to the school student information assistant
(SIA) or registrar as soon as possible. Learn more about
the Tdap booster.
