Class Assignments for 2018-2019
While there’s still plenty of action left in 2017-18, we have already begun planning for 2018-19! One of the most important aspects in setting up our students for academic and social-emotional success is his/her homeroom class assignment. Making the most effective match with teacher and classmates is a very thoughtful, careful process that involves many different criteria. If you would like Mr. Elson and Dr. Ritter to consider any specific information about your child that school staff may not know, particularly regarding learning style and classroom environment, please submit via email to SLElson@fcps.edu and caritter@fcps.edu by Wednesday, May 30th.
Because you are the expert(s) on your child, we ask that you keep your information centered on your child and the type of learning environment you feel would be the most productive for him/her. Of course, with or without a letter, each child’s strengths and needs are considered in the lengthy and complex process of developing class assignments. Again next fall, Gator Families will be mailed class placement notification prior to our KGES Open House, scheduled for August 23, 2018.
