Mustang Memo 5.18.18

Students in sixth grade are preparing for middle school and practicing to open locks for their lockers!

Note from Dr. Sheers

Rain or shine, Mighty Mustang Blue and White night is tonight from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In the event of rain this evening, all activities will be moved inside. If the weather permits we will be outside so please bring chairs and blankets to sit on as table seating will be limited during this event. The main parking lot will be open for parking; however the portion of the lot immediately adjacent to the front of the building will be closed to facilitate access to the food trucks. This will create a dead end so please use caution and courtesy when driving in the lot. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Finally, as we enter the last few weeks of school, we would love additional donations of coffee K-cups and small individually wrapped chocolates for our staff. Our office candy bowl and Keurig is visited frequently and by many!

WSES Book Swap
On Tuesday, June 5 for grades kindergarten thru 6 here’s the scoop on how it works:

  1. Like-new children’s books (appropriate for students in grades K-6) will be accepted the week of May 29 -June 1.  Please note: we will not accept books that are torn, stained, yellowed, or in otherwise poor condition.
  2. For each book that the students bring in to swap (up to a maximum of five), a new book may be taken from the selection provided.
  3. If students bring in more than five books, they will be considered a much appreciated donation to our classroom libraries and/or a local charity.  We can never have too many books!
  4. No books to bring in from home to swap? No worries! Please fill out the form and indicate “0.”   We’ll take care of the rest.
  5. Students will be given time to swap during school hours on the Book Swap day Tuesday, June 5.
