A Salad Bar is Coming to Little Run!
We are excited to announce that Little Run is going to the next level of providing our students and staff with a healthier lunch! Beginning on April 5th, we will be implementing the “Real Food for Kids” Salad Bar. All students will select their fruits and vegetables for lunch from the salad bar, and then they may complete their lunch by choosing either the salad bar protein and grains or the hot entrée listed on the menu for that day. Students will “practice” salad bar etiquette and new procedures for the lunch line before the salad bar opens. We are excited that our students will have so many fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from each day and look forward to joining many other FCPS schools that have had the opportunity to implement the salad bar successfully this school year!
Need Something to do over Spring Break?!
Spring break is a great time to spend time with loved ones, explore the outdoors and play board games. If you are also interested in having your kids read online, here are some great sites! The students are all familiar with these, so it won't take a lot to get them hooked!

Good-bye, Mo Kaczynski!
We are all sad to say good-bye to Mo, our Administrative Assistant in the front office. She had the opportunity to return to her former position--which is a promotion! Her last day at Little Run will be Friday, March 30th.
We are in the process now of interviewing and will share our new hire with the community as soon as it is finalized.

VIP Summer Camp:
What is your middle school child doing this summer? Like you, we believe your child is a very important person and deserves a summer experience that is safe and full of fitness, friends, fun and enrichment. FCPS and the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (DNCS) have teamed up to offer a 5 week camp for rising 7th and 8th graders attending Frost, Irving, Lake Braddock, Robinson, and South County Middle Schools. There is a $50 camp supply fee and small fees for specific field trips. Campers will have a great time playing sports, games, doing arts and crafts and cooking. Field trips to local waterparks and amusement parks also give campers exciting experiences to look forward to with their new friends.
