Key Club Sponsors Winter Blood Drive on
December 7, 2017
The Winter
Blood Drive will be held on December 7th in the Aux Gym. All students are able
to sign up and participate by either finding a Key Club Member in the
Cafeterias during all lunches or by going directly to Ms. Elva Card's classroom
in G106. Students are required to be at least 16 years of age and weigh at
least 110lbs. All students are also required to have a parental consent form
signed. Inova needs 250 units a day, just for regular needs in this area, so we
are hoping to supply a large amount of those units! The Attendance Office will
be monitoring students’ attendance.
Woodson Ice Hockey
Interest Club Updates
We hope everyone had a great
Thanksgiving! Woodson Hockey Team had their first home game on Friday, Nov.
17th. It was so great to see so many kids come out and support Woodson Hockey
Team. It really helped the team keep their momentum going! Despite the awesome
crowd and amazing efforts, we lost to Washington-Lee 8 to 4. Sean Stamp had a
great shot on goal but the glove of the Washington Lee goalie was just too
fast. Our goalie Nik Filip had some amazing saves. Alex Buchanan crashed the
net to score our first goal and final goals were scored by the duo of Payton
Andrews and Brett Morrow. Our next game is at home against TC Williams on
Friday, Dec. 1st at 9 pm at Mt. Vernon Rec Center! Woodson Ice Hockey club is
part of the Capital Scholastic Hockey League (CSHL) it is not affiliated with
FCPS.
