IB Showcase
Night
We cordially
invite you to attend our IB MYP Personal Project Fair, IB CP Reflective Project
Exhibit, and IB DP Visual Arts Exhibit on Thursday, April 6th from 6:00 – 8:00
PM at South Lakes High School. This event has an open house format so
please stop by as your schedule allows. It will be a great night of
interesting and creative work produced by our talented students.
April is the Month of the Military Child
From deployments to new schools,
military children are faced with unique challenges that ordinary youth their
age never experience. Their ability to adapt to present and future changes
deserves respect and admiration. In an effort to recognize the hard work
and applaud the courage of military children, the Department of Defense (DoD)
deemed April as the Month of the Military Child (MOMC). FCPS has put together a webpage (http://www.fcps.edu/registration/military-families)
with a variety of resources to support military families.
If you know someone in the armed services moving to FCPS feel free to share
this site with them.
Spring Break
During Spring Break the offices will be closed. Additionally, access to the stadium lot will be limited due to construction. If you need to visit campus, please use the lower parking lot.
Parking
We have added additional visitor parking spaces on the blacktop, located between SLHS and Hughes MS. There is now an accessible ramp to enter/exit on both sides of the lot. The visitor spots are located on two sides of the perimeter. Please do not park in numbered spots – those are reserved spaces. The visitor spaces are open for parents and guests of both SLHS and Hughes MS.
