This year, through monthly celebrations in each region, #FCPSCares is recognizing employees at every level, culminating in the star-studded FCPS Honors event, to be held this year on June 7 at 6:00 pm at Mason's Center for the Arts.

Our Programs: Cyber Patriot
The Foundation for FCPS is a catalyst for funding to assist the school system in achieving its strategic initiatives. We are pleased to have funded, with a matching grant from the Community Foundation, new Cyber Patriot clubs in 7 middle schools in 2016-17, with 4 more schools slated to come on board in 2017-18. These clubs have introduced middle school students to cyber safety and opened the door to future careers in the field.

Resource Fairs
Over 50,000 students in FCPS identify as living below the poverty line. One way the Foundation supports them is through providing school supply kits to them at our back-to-school resource fairs, held at four high schools in August. At the resource fairs, students receive school supplies, meet teachers and principals, get free haircuts, vision and dental screening, plus visit a showcase of local community groups who can assist families in need with language services, food, job training, and much more.
