Dear Stenwood Families:
Join me in welcoming Mrs. Bev Worek who will be our interim Assistant Principal while Mrs. Riley is on leave with her new baby. Mrs. Worek is a retired FCPS administrator, and we are fortunate to have her help. Mrs. Worek served FCPS for over twenty-five years, and was the principal of Oakton Elementary prior to her retirement in 2010. I am confident that Mrs. Worek will provide a seamless transition, and you will surely enjoy meeting her. See the picture below of Mrs. Worek and Mrs. Riley. I had the pleasure today of introducing Mrs. Worek to our students and staff at our whole school morning meeting.

Today, our whole school morning meeting was focused on reflecting on this past quarter and the many times we have enjoyed peaceful, loving, and joyful experiences. We sang, we danced, we laughed together! This meeting is conducted in the format of a morning meeting, only with the entire school participating. If you are signed up for Twitter then you saw pictures and video clips from this fun, unifying event.
Just a reminder to mark your calendars for our annual overview of the Family Life Education (FLE) program on Tuesday, November 15th. The PTA meeting begins at 7:00, and we plan to present FLE information from 7:30-8:15. And please also don’t forget about our wonderful Thanksgiving Luncheon that you are invited to on Thursday, November 17th.
