Counselors’ Classroom Lessons for Students
This month both the 7th graders and 8th

mandatory FCPS lessons on Anti-bullying and Sexual Harassment. This event took place during learning
seminar.
The goals of these lessons were:
1. To assist students with learning the appropriate
behaviors for school.
2. To inform students of their resources at school
and how to access them.
3. To discuss the importance of how to keep
Robinson a safe environment,
4. To encourage appropriate boundaries, and to
share the role of social network in bullying behaviors (cyber-bullying).

Upcoming Middle School Student Services Events
Middle School
Advisory Council Meeting
Did you know that the Middle School Counseling
Program has a Mission Statement?
Our mission statement reads: The
Robinson Middle School Counseling Program will provide comprehensive services
addressing the academic, personal/social, and career development of all students. The school counselors as advocates will
collaborate with the school community and encourage all students to recognize
their potential to be lifelong learners and productive citizens in a diverse
society.
One
way we provide our services is through our Advisory Council. The
advisory council is a representative group of stakeholders (e.g. parent, staff,
community, administration, etc.) selected to review and advise on the implementation
of the school counseling program.
Robinson Middle
School Advisory Council Meeting will be held November 3rd. The counselors are actively working on our
presentation to the Council and are excited about sharing our program and
obtaining feedback and recommendations.
The Middle School Student Services Department along
with the counselors and clinical staff are happy to be sharing your child’s
world with us.
