Dear Stenwood Students
and Parents,
Thanks so much for
supporting our PTA’s Help the Hive fundraiser.
Your contributions fund all of the great events that our PTA plans for
us such as the Ice Cream Social and Flip Flop Hop; in addition, the money supports
one field trip per grade level and our new math software, Dreambox, which you
received information about this past week.
Thank you so much for supporting our school!
Please plan to attend
our PTA meeting on Wednesday, October 12th from 7:00-8:00 as a
portion of the meeting will be dedicated to an overview of the Dreambox
program.
I
also want to inform you that the staff and I are once again providing opportunities
for parents to visit and see first-hand some of the learning that is occurring
in our classrooms. It is always fun to
showcase what our students are learning and have opportunities for the children
to interact with their parents. So, you can anticipate receiving an invitation
from your child’s teacher several times during the school year to join the
class during the instructional day at a specific time. During that time, the students might be
showcasing their poetry or other writing, sharing their learning about a
historical figure, or working with hands on equations or other math concepts.
We hope that you will be able to join your child for a few of these
occasions. Please know that the teachers
will keep you informed so you can plan your schedule accordingly and join us.
