What You Need To Know:
•Packet Pick up is on Friday 5 to 8pm at Blackfinn Ameripub, Merrifield (2750 Gallows Rd, Vienna, VA)
•Festivities begin at 7:45 AM on Sunday with a lively warm up session with Orange Theory Fitness
•Fun run starts at 8:00 AM and the 5K will start right after (est 8:30 AM)
•Volunteers are still needed! Sign up online today.
•You can still register for the 5K or Fun Run and receive your shirt in the next couple weeks (Register now!)

What Can I Do to Help Make Race Day a Success?
We're so glad you asked!
First and foremost, bring your Stinger spirit with you on Sunday and get ready for a fun time with your friends and family.
And since you asked, we could use a little extra help too…We are anticipating this to be our biggest 5K/Fun Run event ever.
Please consider volunteering to help with set up before the race or clean up after. Friends & family who are not running can also help by serving as Course Marshals and cheering on the runners while directing them along the course. This is a great opportunity for service hours too.

Join the Variety Show Committee
Want to help behind the scenes of the Variety Show? Do you love the idea of being a part of putting together a show for our children to shine? Join us!
We are looking for help with judging, planning the show, managing backstage*, and more. All levels of experience welcome! *We would especially like to have a 5th or 6th grade parent step forward to manage our 6th grade show participants and MCs. Contact Danielle Gibbens if you're interested.
FUND OUR SCHOOLS: Write by April 19
On April 19, the Board of Supervisors will hold its markup session for the budget. On April 26, the board will approve its budget, determine the property tax rate and determine the amount of money it will transfer to schools.
That means it's time to speak up for our schools. Whether you support a dedicated portion of next year's taxes, a new meals tax or using unspent money, tell your supervisor you want Fairfax County to have competitive teachers' pay with no more overcrowded classrooms and no more program cuts.
