Child Care Centers and Family Day Homes
Training and Professional Development Resource Page
Staff working in licensed child day programs and in child day programs receiving subsidy funding are required to complete at least 16 hours of annual professional development. The VDOE collaborates with partners to provide training opportunities for child care providers. Professional development helps child care providers acquire the knowledge and skills needed to implement safe and high-quality early learning experiences. Opportunities for professional development can be found on the child care website.
