Summer Safety Reminders: Insects and Insect Repellant
While warm summer weather brings joy to people of all ages, it also brings out insects. Caregivers are reminded to take precautions by ensuring there is no standing water for mosquitoes to breed, and checking for insect nests near outdoor play areas, in bushes, and under or inside play equipment. Insect repellant may be used with children only with written permission from children's parents, the repellant must be labeled with the child’s name, and instructions on the label must be followed.
