Virginia Preschool Initiative
VPI Late Enrollment for School Divisions - Opens January 3, Due January 13
Late Enrollment, a report required for school divisions who requested Late Enrollment slots via the Single Sign-On Web System (SSWS) is due January 13. This report will collect enrollment data for the Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI). In order to support school divisions, the VDOE hosted a technical webinar to review the VPI Late Enrollment Report. For questions please contact Tiffanie Meehling.

Early Childhood Special Education
VCU Autism Center for Education (ACE): Just the Basics Online Training Course
The VCU Autism Center for Education (VCU-ACE) provides free, online training courses for educators. This course is designed for educators who want to improve their practices in early care and education for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Participants will work through modules that include videos, text, and presentations from ASD experts. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be invited to access further learning from ACE. Please register by January 9.

Local CLASS Observations - Fall score entry deadline Dec. 23rd!
Scores from fall local CLASS observations must be entered in LinkB5 by Dec. 23rd. The following resources are available to support observers, program leaders and teachers with CLASS results.
Fall Refresher: VQB5 Curriculum Options and Access - Webinar Recording
As a Fall Refresher, VDOE has released a pre-recorded webinar which focuses on the multiple ways Virginia provides options for access to quality early childhood curriculum options in VQB5.
Early Learning Support
Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS) Introductory Micro-Credential Registration
Enrollment is prioritized for Family Day Home and Child Care providers, and open to all publicly-funded early childhood professionals. Available at no-cost, this 5-hour, non-credit bearing, online, self- and competency-based micro-credential is an introduction to Virginia’s early learning standards; PD certificates available upon completion. Welcome email from Radford University will contain course-access information within a week of registering.
VKRP Teacher Survey
The UVA CASTL team invites teachers to provide feedback on the fall VKRP assessments. Surveys were emailed to you November 22; complete your survey before the end of the year! All teacher respondents will be entered into a drawing mid-January to win a $50 gift card - 200 winners! Email vkrp@virginia.edu with survey questions.
