TO: All Licensed Child Day Centers
FROM: Jeffrey Williams, Director of Office of Child Care Health and Safety
SUBJECT: Revised Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers, (Effective 10-13-21)
Throughout August and September my team and I were able to travel to each region to give presentations on the revised standards. The original effective date was in September, but it has been pushed back to October 13, 2021.
It was our pleasure to thank you in person for your commitment to children and families in the Commonwealth. You have truly been on the frontlines during this pandemic. Again, thank you!
We hope that we were able to answer your questions about the upcoming changes and ease any concerns you may have had regarding our transition to the Virginia Department of Education. We are excited about what the future holds for child care in Virginia.
Below you will find links to the documents and recordings from the sessions we presented.
