Performance Management Modernization Update
We are excited to announce the modernization of the Commonwealth’s Performance Management Process to include PageUp’s performance module, the introduction of competencies and a 5-point performance evaluation rating scale. Please see the document here that shows our COV Competencies and the new Rating Scale. Please forward this communication to your HR team.
Time to Prepare

COMPLETE this form to identify your agency’s point of contact for Performance Management. This individual will ensure that all parties within your agency are included in meetings and receive the information that they need.

REVIEW the PageUp user list that was sent a few weeks ago. This review is critical to ensure that your supervisors have the correct permission when the Performance module launches. If you did not receive this list, please email Ponnette Smith.

SUBMIT the DHRM user access form for employees who will need the Performance Administrator permission in PageUp. The Performance Admin will be responsible for initiating the review processes within your agency and handling any adjustments needed throughout the performance cycle.

GET A HEAD START: Supervisors can begin transferring their EWPs to the Position Descriptions (PD) now if they have the right permission. Job Aids and training videos on creating and updating a PD can be found here.
Information Sessions and Office Hours
- Information sessions are scheduled on February 5 and 12. Click here to join session. During these sessions, we will provide an overview of the performance process changes including the addition of the competencies, policy changes and a demo of the entire PageUp’s Performance module (from PD to evaluation).
- Office hours will be scheduled starting the week of February 17 and will continue through March to support you before, during, and after your agency’s implementation. Reminder to complete the form above to identify your agency’s point of contact for Performance Management.
