Important Notification Regarding Your Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
On July 29, 2024, the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) Office of Health Benefits was notified of an error at Inspira, the FSA program vendor. It was determined that the oversight may impact employees enrolled in the FSA plans who have remaining balances in one or both FSAs. This applies to employees from multiple agencies.
Employees were erroneously mailed letters referencing a company called CHOP, which is another client of Inspira. The letter incorrectly stated that the deadline to spend funds is September 15, 2024. Inspira is taking action to communicate to affected employees regarding the error and to provide accurate information.
Please remember that the deadline to spend funds from last plan year was June 30, 2024. The deadline to file claims and submit documentation is September 30, 2024.
No action is required by employees regarding this situation. The Office of Health Benefits will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates, as necessary.
