We are excited for the upcoming 2024 DHRM HR Conference! The conference will be held September 30th through October 2nd in the Hampton Roads area. We are planning a dynamic, three-day event that will bring together all levels of state HR professionals, featuring informative sessions, applied best-in-class examples, and motivational keynote speakers. Be sure to be on the lookout for more information soon for you to share with your respective staff.
Planning for Phase 1 of the Commonwealth of Virginia Employee Survey is underway. Sixteen Executive Branch Agencies have been selected to pilot the 55-question survey. The Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) partnered with Qualtrics to develop a comprehensive survey to help us understand whether we are creating a successful employee experience and supports our continued efforts to foster a culture of respect and excellence within the Commonwealth. We will share more information with those agencies in the next week. The survey will run from June 24th through July 9th. Phase 2 will happen later this year.
As a reminder, Employment Opportunities Plans are due by June 30th and Workforce Plans are due by September 30th each year. The metrics from these plans are valuable resources that will help us assess the effectiveness of our employee engagement efforts.
Thank you!
Janet L. Lawson, DHRM Director
