New Nurse Practitioner at the Capitol Square Clinic
The Virginia Commonwealth University Health Services recently announced and welcomed Allyson (Ally) Bess, FNP who will join Stephanie Glasser, FNP, CCMS as an on-site Nurse Practitioner at the Capitol Square Healthcare Clinic, to provide on-site medical care for Virginia State Employees in the James Monroe Building in downtown Richmond.
Ally Bess is originally from New York City and relocated to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. In her previously roles, she served as a Registered Nurse at Virginia Commonwealth University on the Coronary ICU and in various outpatient settings, including Family Medicine at VCU Health at Mayland Medical Center. As a family nurse practitioner, Ally worked at a CVS MinuteClinic and enjoyed improving health literacy, with a special interest in anxiety/depression and sexual health.
The Capitol Square Healthcare Clinic sees all patients (ages 2 and above), whether it’s for physicals and preventative care or acute problems and chronic diseases. Open five days a week, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
2024 Annual Rate Notification for Medicare-Eligible Retiree Group Participants
The Annual Rate Notification booklets for Medicare-Eligible Retiree Group Participants will begin mailing on November 3. Copies of the two booklets and enclosures, one for those with outpatient prescription drug coverage and one for those in medical-only plans (no outpatient prescription drug coverage through the state program), are available at the following links:
If you have an employee who retires or starts LTD effective January 1, 2024, or later and enrolls in the State Retiree Health Benefits Program, please provide a copy of these materials to summarize 2024 premiums and plan changes for the Advantage 65 plans.
Annual notice of change materials will be provided by Express Scripts Medicare to participants who are enrolled in an Advantage 65 Plan, that includes prescription drug coverage that will be posted on the DHRM website.
