Important Updates - Optima Health Plan
Optima Health will change its branding and become Sentara Health Plans as we enter 2024. This is an effort to unify with their parent company, Sentara Health.
Optima Health will provide updates as we get closer to 2024.
Here are some of the upcoming changes:
- Effective July 1, 2023, the company’s legal name will be updated on plan documents, and you will receive official notification sometime after July 1. The members will continue to see Optima Health on materials, ID cards, and in conversations until the end of 2023.
- In August 2023, Optima Health will launch a new marketing campaign to introduce its new name and look. This will include social media, digital advertising, radio, and other media. During the summer, the members may be asked to be part of a survey that Optima Health will conduct to test the new campaign materials.
- The new Sentara Health Plan ID Cards will be mailed out in December of 2023.
Optima Health will post updates via email, its quarterly newsletter, and its website throughout the rest of the year. If members have any questions, they can contact the member services department at the number on the back of their member ID card.
