Mid-Atlantic Women's Care to Leave the Anthem Network
Unless an agreement is reached, Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care has notified Anthem that they will no longer participate in the Anthem network as of August 1, 2023.
This means starting August 1, 2023, members covered under COVA Care and COVA HDHP plans may pay more for care they receive from Mid- Atlantic Women’s Care providers and facilities.
This includes care at the following:
• Center for Women's Health
• Chesapeake Women's Care
• Complete Women's Care
• Gynecology Specialists
• Harrisonburg OB GYN Associates, PC
• Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates of Hampton
• Peninsula Women's Care
• Physicians to Women, Inc.
• Specialists for Women
• The Group for Women
• Tidewater Physicians for Women
• TotalCare for Women
• Virginia Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Virginia Center for Women
• West End Obstetrics & Gynecology, PC
• Williamsburg Obstetrics & Gynecology
• WomanCare Centers
Anthem has begun sending the attached letter to impacted members, and members can find alternative providers near them by visiting anthem.com/MAWC. In addition, members can use the Sydney Health mobile app, anthem.com, or call Member Services for help to find alternative providers near them.
