Look: An Unexpected Arts Experience

Art builds community...help us transform a vacant commercial building into a fun, inventive, and interactive POP-UP art space. Over three weekends, the reinvented space will host art exhibits, performances, and hands-on workshops and classes. More

  • Drop-in activities and Gallery-wide Artist Talks
  • Workshops: Gel Plate Screenprinting, Mixed Media Journal, Upcycled Art, Spice Blending, Playwriting, Pottery Tile Making
  • Performances: Mike Brooks & Blackk Suede, Sol Roots, Super Art Fight, Small Creatures Dance Project

All workshops and performances are free and open to the public. A limited number of seats are available for each performance, with plenty of room for standing. Workshop registration is on-site only with sign-ups starting on Friday at 6pm for each weekend’s classes. View the activity schedule.

The Two Gentlemen of Killarney is a timely immigrant love-comedy with music. Adapted from Shakespeare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona, the story follows friends-turned-rivals from Ireland to America during the Great Famine, blending Shakespeare’s wit with traditional Irish tunes and delivering a dynamic celebration of love, immigration, and humanity. In celebration of Black History Month and beyond, Cody Gallery proudly presents Sanah Brown-Bowers: “The Joy Lab.” Fusing such inspirations as graffiti, cartoons, African prints, and styles from her childhood in Queens, New York, Brown-Bowers’ immersive installation honors family, faith, and Black history. The vibrant works include large-scale, mixed-media altarpieces, paintings, screenprints, sculptures, video, and audience interaction. More
